You're the planner. The one who is operating 10 steps ahead. The one who reads the reviews, compares all the options, perhaps even made the spreadsheet before anyone else would think to open a tab. Being prepared isn't just a personality quirk for you - it's what makes you feel calm. How you feel in control.
Then you got pregnant, and once the buzz from that initial positive pregnancy test evaporated, so did your confidence. Because you're worried that birth is something you have no control over.
Birth doesn't respond to planning the way everything else in your life has. There's no comparison chart that tells you how you're doing or which way it'll go. No matter how many articles you read, how many birth stories you save to look back on, how many social media posts you consume, you can't quite plan your way to the feeling of certainty you're used to - and it's so disorientating.
A birth story here, a social media video there - half hoping one of them will finally make you feel ready, half already sure it won't.
You've heard "it'll be fine" so many times now that it's started to feel less like comfort and more like something people say when they don't know what else to say. When they don't know how to fix your problem.
Here's more details of my offerings
Nobody tells you how to dull the dread you're feeling. Nobody tells you how to not freak out once labour starts. Nobody tells you how you can actually make the labour go smoother. And all you can envision is your breath starting to shallow, your mind racing, your heart thumping... and everything feeling not very fine at all.
You're not looking for false positivity. You're looking to get that feeling of being in control back - or at least, you want to feel like you haven't lost control of your life completely. You want to understand what's actually happening inside your body, why it happens, and what you can do about the parts that scare you the most: the pain, the unknown, and the fear of not coping when it matters most.
That's not irrational. That's not "just anxiety." That's a nervous system trying to prepare for something enormous, with almost nothing solid to hold onto.
So you keep researching, because that's what you do. But the strange thing is, the more you learn, the longer the list of things you could suddenly find yourself afraid of becomes. Instead of quieting the fear, it just multiplies. It becomes overwhelming. It doesn't feel like each answer is bringing you closer to feeling ready - it feels like each one buys you two more questions. With no one to ask them to.
At your midwife appointments - ten minutes, if you're lucky...
Most of it taken up by the checklist: blood pressure, bump measurements, next scan booked. Not because she doesn't care, but because her time is stretched, with lots of other women in the waiting room to see. So the appointment ends, and the questions - the ones that are keeping you up at night - are still sitting in your chest, unanswered.
Your friends tell you it'll be fine because they got through it, as if that settles it. "You just have to go with the flow," they say. But that doesn't feel like anything close to what you want. You want to feel prepared.
Family pats the worry down to "normal pregnancy nerves." But nothing about how you're feeling feels normal.
Your partner's trying to reassure you too, but in all honestly - they're just as lost as you are - wanting to help but not knowing how, because nobody's taught them either. And now you've realised that's a problem too. You don't know how to cope with this huge, life-changing experience, but neither does your birth partner. And maybe you'd feel so much better if they did. If it didn't feel like you were carrying the weight of birth alone.

Because as much as you want to learn more about birth, this was never really about needing more birth facts. You can see now you've really just wanted to feel heard by someone who 'gets it'.
Preparation that is built around helping you find safety and trust within your body, and understanding what to do when fear takes hold.
I don't replace your midwife, but I help you with the part your ten-minute appointment never has room for: space and time to actually sit with the fear itself, not just tick past it. Proper tools to reduce the level of fear and keep you more comfortable and confident in labour. Time to ask questions, and learn at your own pace. And because your birth partner is with us for all four sessions, learning exactly what you're learning, when it matters, neither of you is left guessing.
You both know what to expect from birth. You both know how to make decisions and what feels important to you in your birth experience. You both know how you'll be best supported to enjoy the experience. And of course, because I know you're worrying about it... You both know how to handle any challenges that come your way.
Someone who planned every possible outcome, and needed to understand why before I could ever feel calm about the what.
That's the lens I bring to every session I teach. I'm not going to say "just relax," but instead work to understand what's currently stopping you from having an amazing birth experience, and helping you turn that around.
I've spent five years working with over 50 families doing exactly this - sitting with people in the middle of their fear, and helping them find their way through it, not around it.
There are two ways to work with me in a 1:1 setting. Both are built on the same foundation - the same laid-back, evidence-based teaching, the same personalised approach to your fears, not a generic script. The difference is the depth of support, and for how long.

Fully personalised birth preparation built entirely around you, your worries, your history, and your vision for your birth experience.
This is the process I've refined over five years and with over 50 families to create a Hypnobirthing course and support package that gives you the space to acknowledge your fears, whilst using knowledge and tools that help soften it.
We'll work together through four 1:1 Hypnobirthing sessions that meet you exactly where you are. You're given the time and space to really explore your specific thoughts, feelings and concerns about birth, so I can tailor the course content to your individual circumstances as we go, and help you build your knowledge about what to expect in birth, so you can walk in feeling clear, capable and calm.
Outside of our sessions, I'll be available to you via Whatsapp and will regularly check in to answer your questions or offer guidance.

Let me help!
Signature gives you everything you need to prepare - fully personalised, 1:1 support built around your specific fears, refined over five years of doing exactly this. VIP is for the version of you that wants someone in your corner through labour, but also in the weeks after, when the birth is over but you're still finding your feet. Both are the same approach, the same depth of care - just a different depth of ongoing support, for a different length of time.
Still not sure? Email me - I'm happy to talk it through so we can find the best match for you.
